A Navy Blue Sunshine Barn Wedding in Pennsylvania

Bride Maddy’s search for the perfect venue for her wedding to Mark was easy: All she had to do was look next door.

“The venue we got married in is a barn that sits right next to my parents’ house, where I lived since I was a little girl,” says Maddy. “The owner, Todd, always said how he couldn’t wait for me to get married in this barn. I always thought he was joking until the day he found out about our engagement and asked, ‘So when is the barn wedding?’” And from then on, we planned the picture-perfect wedding.”

Not only a picture-perfect wedding—but fun.

“Maddy and Mark are two people after my own heart,” says photographer Katherine Petersheim of Katherine Zell Photography. “When Maddy first contacted me, she shared about her and Mark’s relationship, and their love for red dirt country music and the outdoors. I knew instantly their day was going to be a blast.

Just one of those fun moments: An epic dance party, kicked off by the couple’s first dance to Cody Johnson’s “With You I Am.”

“My absolute favorite moment of our wedding was just seeing faces of friends and family who i haven’t gotten to see for some time,” says Maddy. “We counted that there were guests from 19 different states. Knowing that so many people traveled to see us get married meant the world to us.”
