Luscious Fall Wedding Inspiration on Vancouver Island

Stunning Maple Bay Manor on Vancouver Island was the setting for this styled shoot loaded with the luscious colors of fall.

Featuring Lorina Marie and Robert, a real couple who was recently married, the shoot was photographed by Samuel and Virginie Wiss of SV Photograph.

“The shoot was inspired by the beautiful colors of fall, and once we met our real couple, we knew we had to sprinkle in some sexy elements, too,” says Virginie. “The groom showed up with a steel guitar, which led to an impromptu jam session, followed by a glamour boudoir session in the manor’s suite. The couple was recently married, and we chose them to have real emotions and moments throughout the day.”

The shoot took full advantage of the venue’s natural beauty, using the manor’s forest, dock, and lawn as backdrops. Adding to the natural elements were the florals, including roses and anthurium, most of which were foraged and grown locally by Foxgloves Flowers (and repurposed afterward for sustainability).

The tablescape was set with lush navy linen. The cake designer, Cobble Hill Cake Co., created a stunning confection with Bosc pears that were hand-sliced, dehydrated, pressed, and tinted with turmeric and gin. The edges were painted with edible gold to complement the table decor, which was accented with gold throughout.
