Brides: We need to talk about Pennsylvania’s Columbia Station.

This venue, located in Phoenixville, is formerly a 19th-century Reading Railroad passenger station—and just may be one of the most unique wedding venues you’ll ever come across, hands down. This beauty combines traditional style with gorgeous vintage details, such as the ornate crystal chandeliers in the spectacular grand ballroom. And the bridal suite? It’s an antique caboose (!). Now THAT’S a fun space for getting ready with your bridal party—and for some Instagram-worthy photo options, too.

Learn more about this venue from Michelle Durinzi, marketing director for Robert Ryan Catering & Design, which manages the venue. (The company also has two additional event venues, the Barn on Bridge and the Philander Chase Knox Estate—both rustic and both gorgeous).

What is the history of your venue?
Columbia Station was built in 1858 as a passenger train station serving the Reading Railroad until 1972. In 1982, it was purchased and renovated into a catering facility. Robert Ryan Catering & Design took over in 1998.

What is your capacity?
220

Do you offer a ceremony location?
Yes! We have a beautiful outdoor garden area with perennials, greens, paver stones and wrought iron arbor.

What is included in your wedding packages?
Our package includes a five-hour reception; stationary and passed hors d’oeuvres for cocktail hour; five-hour bar (house or premium); champagne toast; wedding cake; choice of colors for linens and napkins; taxes and services fees; day of coordinator and event staff; and everything that goes along with dinner service: china, flatware, glassware, tables, and chairs.

What makes your venue special?
Our venue combines history, beauty, and uniqueness—you won’t find too many other venues with an antique caboose for a bridal suite! And because we’re located right in downtown Phoenixville, we’re very conveniently located.
