Dreaming of a barn wedding, but can’t find just the *perfect* venue? Enter Tentwood, an authentic, red barn that can be set up right in your own backyard.
Yes, you read that right.
This *seriously* innovative concept was launched in 2017 in Washington by Kelsey Von Stubbe. “When planning my own wedding, my husband and I considered getting married on my parents’ beautiful property in Yakima, Washington, but putting up a standard white wedding tent against the rustic backdrop just didn’t feel right,” says Kelsey. “I knew there had to be something better. In early 2017, I was laid off from my job and had a lot more time to dream up ideas. Fast forward six months, and Tentwood was born.”
Packages start at $6,000 and include delivery within 60 miles of Seattle, setup, tables and chairs, chandeliers and string lighting, and a generator so you can keep the party going all night long. There are rustic add-ons available for rent as well, including a stained glass wedding arch, reclaimed wood photo backdrop, and rolling bar. The space, which has 1,000 square feet and 14-foot ceilings, has been custom-engineered with wood paneled walls and aged steel roofing to create a true rustic look.
That’s a whole lot to love on its own, but according to Kelsey, one of Tentwood’s biggest selling points is the flexibility it offers couples. “Unlike traditional venues, you can have the Tentwood barn on your property for several days,” she says. “For a Saturday wedding, we could set up on Thursday, giving you all day Friday to decorate and have a rehearsal dinner. We would then return on Sunday to pack it back down.”
Totally in love? Tentwood is now accepting bookings for summer 2018.
