An Enchanting Barn Wedding in Maine

When a Minnesota farm girl gets married, you can know you’re getting one *amazing* rustic wedding. Featuring the absolutely adorable Liana and Sean, this real wedding was held at The Barn at Silver Oaks Estate in Winthrop, Maine—the state where the couple first met. Says Rachel Campbell of Rachel Campbell Photography, who shared this beautiful event:

“Liana is originally from Minnesota and Sean is from Massachusetts. Sean moved to Maine while working as a lineman, and Liana moved to Maine to attend college. They met online and instantly fell for each other. After dating for a while, they both moved to Massachusetts to be together. They eventually got their beautiful golden retriever dog, Maddie, and the rest is history!”

The day began with a ceremony at Saint Mary’s Church in Augusta, the state’s capital—a setting that the couple took full advantage of with bridal party photos in Capitol Park, as well as stunning bridal portraits with the State House as their backdrop. The entire event was full of thoughtful touches, from the Maine maple syrup and jam wedding favors to the charm featuring a photo of Liana and her grandfather the bride attached to her bouquet, as a special way to keep him close to her the entire day. And those are just the start. Adds Rachel:

“I loved shooting the portraits of Sean and Liana with their adorable golden retriever, Maddie. After we took photos with the bridal party, we stopped at their dog-friendly hotel, and Liana’s mother brought out Maddie, with her adorable floral collar. Being a dog mom myself, that moment captured my heart for sure! Another really special moment was when Liana’s mom surprised them with a horse and carriage to take them to the reception. It was truly magical!”
