A Dreamy Rustic Elopement and Epic After Party at Gilbertsville Farmhouse

Set at Gilbertsville Farmhouse in South New Berlin, New York, this styled shoot follows the bride and groom (an engaged couple in real life!) through an intimate ceremony, bright reception, and s’mores by a rainy fire—with the grand finale of an epic after party, set in the unique blue lounge area of the farm’s reception barn.

Photographer Chelsea Fausel of Fausel Imagery, envisioned the shoot after photographing a wedding at the venue. She particularly wanted to showcase the gemstone-toned lounge area and christened the shoot, “It Was All a Dream: The After Party,” an echo of the neon pink sign over the sofa.

Says Chelsea: “This is meant to inspire brides to go bold. We coupled saturated jewel hues with pops of Gatsby gold, old Hollywood glamour in a pastoral setting, an intimate autumnal elopement with the sparkle and flair of New Year’s Eve. It’s country meets Vanity Fair in an unexpected space.”

A team comprised almost entirely of women-owned businesses from the upstate New York area brought the vision to life. The arbor, built by the venue, is embellished with a floral design by Arnold’s Flower Shop including pinks, teals, and purples, as well as greens and eucalyptus.

Adorning the head table are menus and hand-lettered escort tiles designed by Kate Smith Studio, who also provided the gold and blue after-party sign and invitation suite. At the bonfire are s’mores with ganache-filled shooters in place of melted chocolate, reimagined by Hudson Valley BBQ.

The main event of the after party was in the venue’s VIP lounge, across from the dairy barn. The space’s blue walls and neon sign, combined with furniture and special effects lighting by Armitage Photography, make for an exclusive nightlife feel. The look is reflected in the floor-length gowns provided by Ever After Bridal, as well as a luxe tuxedo from Hage TuxedoThe cake, created by Jessica Cunningham of Finger Lakes Cake Company, featured edible gold lead and additional bold florals from Arnold’s Flower Shop.

Thanks so much to this incredible team for sharing this gorgeous styled shoot with us!
